Introducing Daniel Barton

Daniel Barton is Cannington Golf Club's PGA Fellow Professional and Golf Manager. Daniel, originally from Suffolk, has represented Suffolk County Golf from his junior years, to playing for the men’s first team. During his golf career Daniel has been part of the junior England squad and won various amateur, county and pro-am tournaments and events.

Since playing in the National Assistants Championship twice, the EuroPro and Thomson tour, and attending the European tour qualifying tour, Daniel became a professional in 2003 at Fynn Valley Golf Club, Suffolk.

Daniel also obtained a Level 3 Coaching qualification and progressed to a Foundation Degree in Business Management, Sports Science, Equipment Technology and Golf Coaching.

In his role at Cannington, Daniel hopes to build on the achievements and work former resident Professional, Ron Macrow and the team accomplished. Daniel hopes to introduce new membership options, with the aim of improving junior numbers and family participation.

Most importantly, Daniel will ensure existing members continue to enjoy their golf, with the Club providing a pleasant and social atmosphere, whilst improving the Club over the coming years!
